3rd Minds Metshe involved in a car accident

According to Eric Ramogobya aka Eric Ramco of Eric Ramco Records, the stable that the artist is signed to, Metshe was involved in a car crash at the Phakalane robots after a show at a nightclub in Phakalane in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Ramco told Showbiz that the rapper, who was with other people in the car, was the only one badly hurt in the highway mishap. The artist is currently in the intensive care unit (ICU) of a local private hospital where he is said to be recovering well.

'At the moment, I am preparing to go and see him and I hear that he is getting better and hopefully he will be released from ICU soon,' said Ramogobya who was out of the country at the time of the accident.

At the time of going to press, Broadhurst police could not be reached for comment as their phones rang unanswered. 3rd Mind is considered one of the groups that pioneered the hip-hop genre locally.

They started off as a trio, but one of the group members quit, leaving the duo of Metshe and Modise Modise. The group's last album is the Second Coming, which is still enjoying airplay in local radio stations. Currently, 3rd Mind mostly supports up and coming artists from the Eric Ramco stable by featuring them in their shows. They have also featured in the shows of the latest sensation, Kgotla 'Juju Boy' Ntsima of Hurt Me fame.

Meanwhile, Eric Ramco has squashed the rumours that he has skipped the country to escape financial woes.  The hit-making producer says that he suspects that the rumours may have stemmed from one of his tracks Ke na le mathatha, which was released last year.

Ramco said that like any other person, he faces challenges in life, but he declined to divulge the particular problems he is faced with.

He further said that he has no intentions of leaving the country and that he is currently busy with a number of projects from his stable.
