X-Fire vows to fire up the music scene

Explaining the style, executive producer of the group's album, titled 'Re baketse go ja lekuka', Bullet Ketshabile, the idea of merging traditional and House-Kwasa was borne out of the urge to bring into the music world a fresh creative sound.

The album has eight tracks most of which are traditional songs with themes ranging from wedding ceremonies, witchcraft and juvenile delinquency.

The fourth track, Jikela Tlase, is a danceable tune that would move a lot of music lovers to dance. The song is themed on the Basarwa dance style-Koba. In a light-hearted tone, the song also celebrates the wealth of Tswana traditional dance moves like Tsutsube, which are well loved in the country. Gopadileng Gopadileng, also known as Astley Gops, is featured  in this album. He sings a song on witchcraft. The song titled Boloi is a re-make from his previous album by the same name.

This addition was a wise decision by X-Fire as it would help draw its fan-base from Gops' fans. Then there is 'Chibi chea kekela', a song that takes you through the challenges experienced in relationships followed by 'Poo ke nna', a fantastic musical piece that stands out quite well. It would definitely give a lot of musicians a run for their money. Other tracks include Nkele Masimo and 'O batlathupa'. The album is produced at Bullet Music Production in Gaborone, whilst marketing and distribution are done by X-Fire.

X-Fire, the new group comprises Kefentse Malokwane, Lesego Mokatane, Boikanyo Kenanao and Botshelo Sephiri.
