Maluza leaves Gabz fm for Yarona fm

Luzboy, who made a name for himself as a controversial presenter with the guts to shock listeners with just about anything, has  not been heard from since  Gabz fm announced that its new general manager,  Joyce Manase-Ntau, had taken over.

The latest Gabz fm schedule shows that the morning time drive show, Sunrise, is now made up of the main host Jazzelle Kebakile, news, traffic report and weather presenter, Emily Setlhare, Bay Tsimane (sports),  and Mike Olivier who presents  a mini-show called The Pulse  before the  morning show closes at 09:50am. Luzboy would not be drawn into discussing why he decided to quit, but said he expects to be back on radio as soon as possible.

However, word is that the Molepolole-born Luzboy will soon resurface at Yarona fm, where his unique radio career started in the early 2000s when he introduced his popular radio show, Maragaraga Style.

Armed with a law degree from the University of Botswana (UB), Luzboy also runs his own marketing and promotions company.  Towards the end of last year Luzboy took his controversial radio presenting to another level when he released a comedy CD dubbed Daisy Bird le Maluza. It is understood Luzboy's soon-to-be announced radio show at Yarona fm would have a lot of comedy material.

Meanwhile, Duma fm's   acting station manager Alfred Busang yesterday told Mmegi Showbiz they still retain hopes of having back another exciting presenter, Dignash Morapedi, next month.

Dignash of the popular programme, Dignash live, quit Duma fm towards the end of last year when his business partner, Bissau Gaobakwe roped him in as part of  his package in his proposed investment at rival company,  Gabz  fm.

Interestingly, Duma fm has maintained the name of Dignash's afternoon drive, despite the fact that the show is currently presented by rapper Steez, a former presenter of Botswana Television (Btv)'s Flavour Dome.

Dignash also continues to appear in Duma FM's line-up on their website despite the fact that he last appeared on Duma fm radio shows last year.

The station's acting manager says anything can happen when they announce their new line up next month, including the possibility of having the crowd favourite Dignash, making a return to the airwaves.
