Pirates-GU tie moved to Port Elizabeth

The game will take place on February 28. GU official, Kagiso Sebele said the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Municipality has asked that the game be part of its celebrations to mark 100 days before the 2010 World Cup kicks-off. 'It will be exactly 100 days before the World Cup and since there will be no big game that weekend, they have asked the game to be part of the celebrations,' he said.

He stated that GU will have to make new travel arrangements for supporters who want to accompany the team to Port Elizabeth.

Meanwhile, tickets are already on sale for the first leg tie which takes place at UB Stadium this Saturday.

Tickets for the two covered western stands go for P75 while the charge for the middle VIP covered stand will be P100. The rest of the ground will cost P50.

Sebele emphasised that they will not be selling tickets at the stadium. Parking spaces are sold at P10 per vehicle.Sebele said they have met with the Botswana Football Association (BFA) to discuss security issues for the match. He said security for the game will be equivalent to that provided when the national team is playing.

Gates open at 10am and the game will be aired by Botswana Television (Btv). Sebele pointed out that Pirates failed to send a representative to yesterday's media briefing due to a tight schedule. The Soweto giants are expected to arrive on Thursday morning.

They will have their first training session in the afternoon. Sebele said the training session will be open to the media and journalists will be able to interview the team after the workout.
