ECCO revive faint title hopes

ECCO have risen to fifth spot with 28 points, 13 behind leaders, Township Rollers but the Francistown side has two games in hand. The former champions are a point behind Uniao Santos who shot down Gaborone United (GU) 3-1 in a game that reportedly ended in a brawl. GU lie seventh on the log and they are certainly watching their chances of retaining the championship fade away.

Meanwhile, ECCO captain and top striker, Malepa 'King-Goals' Bolelang has said they have started gaining momentum and no club is going to stop them. 'You will realise that we have not lost the past four games. We are slowly but surely gaining our winning momentum. I do not see any team stopping us now. We are going all the way to the top,' he said after the game. Bolelang is not fazed at being used as a substitute on Saturday by coach, Maxwell 'Malume' Moyo. He said starting on the bench is part of the game.

Striker, Bonolo Fraiser was pleased that his team had avenged the 3-0 defeat suffered at the hands of Gunners in the first round. 'We came here knowing we were going to win. They just could not stop us and any other team that comes our way is going to feel the same heat,' he warned. On Saturday, Patrick Lenyeletse and Fraiser made sure Mamojadiski got maximum points while Hendrick Moyo scored the consolation goal for the Mapantsula.
