Chabinga wants early goal against Pirates

Addressing a media conference in Gaborone yesterday, Chabinga said it is crucial that his team scores early and stick to the game plan. He said GU's advantage is that they know Pirates while his team remains a closed book to the South Africans. He said they have realised that Pirates normally uses the wings from where the speedy Dikgang Mabalane and playmaker, Teko Modise whip in crosses. He said they will try and close the wings and prevent the former African champions from finding space to make crosses. He disclosed that they will assign a player to close down Modise who usually dictates Pirates' play. 'We have been working very hard on the fitness of the players. Some of the players have just returned from injuries but we hope they will be ready for game,' he said. Defender, Bosarutweng 'Booster' Magola who was injured in the game against Township Rollers recently has started light training. Midfielders, Stephen Maposa, Ofentse Nato as well as Tshepo Molefe who limped off in the game against Police XI are carrying knocks but should be available for the game.

Defender, Branco Molokwane told journalists that although they go into the game as underdogs, they are ready to pull a shock victory. He said if they win the first leg, they will do everything to defend the advantage in the reverse fixture. He said their 3-1 loss to Uniao Flamengo Santos on Friday night has not dented morale in the camp ahead of the crunch Pirates tie.
