Mma Mlhongo still missing

Senior Superintendent Dipheko Motube said yesterday that they are working with their counterparts both in South Africa and Mozambique to establish whether indeed she crossed into Mozambique in December. They have already established that she crossed from Botswana into South Africa.

He said that the investigations are slow because the three countries have a different way of doing things and do not have the same resources. Motube denied that they have closed investigations on the matter.

Mma Mlhongo, went to visit her husband Mr Mhlongo during the festive season and she did not reach her destination. Her husband reported her missing a day or two after she failed to reach Mozambique and could not be reached on her mobile phone.  The relatives who had been gathering at the Mlhongo compound are said to have given up and others have returned to her home village of Makaleng. Mr Mhlongo has also not been making contributions to radio stations.
