Still no ambulancea at Coke Cup matches

The importance of having an ambulance at matches was highlighted once again during last Thursday's game between Police XI and Mogoditshane Fighters when an injured player had to be ferried to the hospital in a private car.

A member of the Coca-Cola Cup organising committee, Phakamile Kraai said it is the responsibility of clubs to arrange for ambulances at match venues.

'We will have a meeting after next Monday's quarterfinal draw in which we are going to let the clubs know the importance of bringing ambulances to the games.

Clubs know that it is their responsibility to ensure that everything is in order for their games,' he added. He explained that the organising committee is responsible for ensuring that there are medics and security.

Meanwhile, the remaining Coca-Cola Cup Last 16 games will be played today. Gaborone United (GU) will lock horns with Great North Tigers (GNT) at Otse Police College.

The game kicks of at 4pm. Prisons XI and defending champions, Uniao Flamengo Santos will battle it out in Molepolole at 7pm. The games could not be played last weekend as both GU and Santos were involved in African club competitions.
