Slizer is optimistic she will be able to match the success of her sizzling debut album, O tswa kae, which sold well over 30, 000 copies.
Slizer says her new album will be out on February 26, with about 10 tracks. She says she is yet again working with her producer Bullet Ketshabile as well as a talented Zimbabwean producer known as Mbaki at DDS studios in Block 9. ' He seems to understand my music very well.
Already I have made one track with the guy(Mbaki) and it is very good, everyone in the studio feels this album will do very well in the market. There is that pressure; people are eager to find out what Slizer is going to usher in especially after the success of the first album,' Slizer stated in an interview with Showbiz.
Once again Slizer says just like she did in her debut album, she is not intending to feature any other artist. 'The fans received my music, they loved the Slizer flavour; so I'm not going to feature anyone else but everyone associated with this album is pulling out all the stops to make sure the production is top notch,' Slizer said.
Although she recorded her debut album in South Africa two years ago, Slizer says she has confidence in the local studio she is working with. She released a Christmas album with the same studio featuring dance star Vee, which went on to be one of the few most celebrated festive offerings.
Slizer started her music career more than 10 years ago as a dancer for the then ragga artist Vomit. However, her career did not take off until two years ago when she was signed up by Culture Spears, who immediately helped her launch a solo career with the debut album, O tswa kae.
With a slender and sexy figure and good looks that charm her fans, Slizer has been a wonder to watch on stage. Besides her kwasa-kwsa house style, it is Slizer's sexy appeal that seems to give her the edge over the rest.
