CAF is insane

The Togolese were also fined about P300000 ($50 000) for pulling out of Angola 2010. Togo team did not choose to go back home, they agreed to continue their participation in the tournament and their Prime minister ordered them to come back home.

The main reason why the Togolese were suspended is because Hayatou and his cronies are saying that the government was interfering in football matters.

No state in the world, Africa especially can progress in football without the assistance from the government.

The element of government will always be there! Hayatou saying that Togo government should just watch its citizens being butchered in Angola?

In Africa we always cry when presidents stay long in power, but Hayatou have been CAF president since 1988 and there is no noise about him! I feel CAF needs new blood, a leader from Anglophone countries, because they are the ones who always get unfair decisions from CAF.   The decision to award a war torn region privilege to host games was absurd. CAF knew Cabinda region as a hot spot and they gave the decision the thumbs up.

I am totally against this decision, CAF should also fine the Angolan FA. The Malawians were denied training facilities by soldiers prior to their game against Angola, is this fair play?

On a different note, I will like to congratulate my former school mate Tuelo Serufho for being appointed CEO of BONOC. I wish him well in this demanding post, but I know with determination and support from all stakeholders he will take our sports to the next level. I bet Botswana will get its first medal from the Olympics during his tenure.
