Housekeeper found dead, no suspects

Superintendent Thomas Junior Letebele of the CID says that they are looking for the murderer and are appealing to the public to help with any information they might have.

He says that the housekeeper, aged between 25 and 29, was found by her employer during lunch hour on the day in question.

'When the employer came home for lunch he could not find the housemaid in the main house until he went outback and found her dead in her quarters,' he said.  He said that by the look of things the housemaid had been strangled to death.

'She had marks on her neck,' he added.

He says that they are appealing to the public to help them in finding the person who could have committed this horrible crime.  'We do not have any suspects in this matter and we are appealing to people, especially those staying in the neighbourhood to help us with any information regarding this matter,' he stated.

The deceased, who was from Mapoka Village in the North East, has not been buried yet.

Letebele further said that the Botswana Police promises confidentiality to anyone who might have any information leading to the arrest of the culprit.
