Sebego to leave Law Society for JSC?

During the elections, the chairman Tebogo Sebego and his committee survived an alleged ouster plot by state counsels and lawyers allied to the Botswana Congress Party (BCP).

Matters are likely to take another twist after a secret meeting yesterday decided that Sebego should be the Law Society's representative in the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) in place of Peter Collins. Sebego's deputy, Yvone Chilume is poised to take over as chairperson with Binta Tobedza as vice-chair of the Law Society.  Sebego declined to comment on the impending developments yesterday. Besides Sebego, Chilume and Tobedza, other officials of the Law Society are Martin Dingake, Kelebogile Kewagamang, Nkepe Mabulu and Banyatsi Mmekwa.
