Miss Beauty Queen Francistown attracts 13 entries

The contest that is scheduled for Saturday evening will be among the festive entertainment events around town.  One of the organisers Pearl Krish said in an interview that the contest is aimed at raising funds and support charity in and around Francistown.

The show, which is to become an annually event, is said to be following one of the Vision 2016 pillars.  Motswedi Orphanage centre based in Mokubilo village some 100km away from Francistown along Orapa road is the charity place to benefit from the pageant's proceeds.

Krish told Showbiz that they are planning to build a shelter for the orphanage centre, which at the moment has only one thatched hut.

Krish said they are looking forward to arranging a Christmas party for the orphans in Mokubilo where they would be given the presents.  'We have arranged a Christmas party and the distribution of presents to the orphans in Mokubilo.

We are aiming to build a house or an office where Motswedi representatives can do their work to assist the orphans accordingly,' she said. Kgosi Masunga is expected to be the guest speaker and award prizes for the first three winners and the consolation prizes for the participants. The artists, who will entertain the crowd, include Motswako, BK Proctor, Trouble Makers and Eureka.
