Eve's HIV charity show raises more than half million Pula

Wesside Entertainment posted this figure on Facebook yesterday although they mention that this result is unaudited.

All the funds will be distributed to HIV/AIDS NGOs, in accordance with the objective of the show, although no date has been set for the distribution of the funds.

Orange, Botswana, the sponsors of the show have indicated that all the proceeds will go to charity.

Orange brought Eve and her DJ, Benny D to Gaborone. This is the second year in a row that a top US performer has come to Gaborone, but the first time that all proceeds would go to charity. Last year it was Shaggy who was brought in to perform.

Saturday's show at Ditshupo grounds drew a 4,000 strong crowd. The show also presented a golden opportunity for local talents such as Scar, Zeus, Vee, Shanti Lo, Eugene Jackson, DJ Skis house band to perform alongside the superstars.
