Makgalemele Rejoins BDP

Though Makgalemele was not available over the weekend for comment, it is widely rumoured that he intends to return to the party under whose ticket he was elected.

BDP spokesperson, Comma Serema, interviewed on Sunday, was confident that Makgalemele was back in the fold.'At the moment, a press release is being drafted. By tomorrow you will have it,' he said.

Pilane says he spoke to Makgalemele and 'he told me that it is not true that he has returned to the BDP. He told me that he was in Kasane and that we would talk about this when he gets back'.

A senior BMD official, though preferring not to be named, confirmed that indeed Makgalemele has gone back to the ruling party.

'When we called him, he said he was consulting his family about staying or returning to the BDP. Some people in the BDP told us that he has already joined them after he was given a good offer.

' But he insists that he has not made a decision yet. I guess we have to wait and see,' he said.

Another BMD parliamentarian who is rumoured to have gone back to the BDP is Patrick Masimolole of Mogoditshane. Masimolole furiously denied this  saying: 'I think you are confusing me with an MP who has gone back there. I have not gone anywhere. Who are your sources? Don't trust them because they are lying to you,' he said.
