The bonfire concept came in handy as the chilly Friday show, which started way after the said time took revellers back to the village where entertainment around the fire formed a crucial part of the society's performing arts. It is in the lolwapa and around the fire where dances were performed, folksongs and tales told and great orators born.

If anyone doubts what golden hands the Diskord band has, Botswanacraft was the place to satisfy his or her nagging curiosity. From the keyboard player, to the drummer and you name it- the musical effect produced was perfect to the ear.

Opening the show was popular R 'n'  B singer Eugene Jackson, who is going the Afro-pop way currently; performing 2Phase's African Queen like the man himself just walked through the Botswanacraft arena. The man simply did what he does best with Tobetsa getting the crowd to sway their assets.  Handing over the microphone to Helen of Kgankgathi fame; the duo made a stage transition with their famous duet. The audience seemed not to get enough of the weeding song that continues to dominate airwaves.

Likewise, Helen gave the audience a piece of her melodies. She put the house on fire when she performed some of the legendary Kwaito maestro hits. Yes, Mabbrrr style will go a long way! Channel 0 music video award winner, Scar, was next and the crowd just loved him.

Holding their booze, a significant lot of those who had been seated made way to the dance floor.  They drank and danced the winter away.  Diskord made Friday night the night it was as it quenched the thirst of live performance lovers!
