BDP welcome back two mps

BDP secretary general Thato Kwerepe said on Saturday that they received Mogoditshane MP Patrick Masimolole and his Shoshong counterpart Phillip Makgalemele over the weekend. Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, Kwerepe said the two MPs were welcomed back to the BDP in Gaborone.

'Now they are back at the party they love so much,' he said. Also speaking at the same event, cabinet minister and BDP publicity committee chairman, Shaw Kgathi said the party is intent on retaining power in 2014. He disclosed that they have embarked on an intensive recruiting spree.

He denied reports that the ruling party is using millions to lure opposition MPs to its fold. He declined to reveal their recruitment strategy because he did not want to alert their enemies in the opposition. Masimolole said he was not in a position to comment on his return to the BDP.
