Scramblers beef up squad

Club spokesperson, Thobogang Dimakatso said they have signed one pitcher Bokamoso Kedisaletse and two out-fielders, Pilot Charlie and Abraham Kandjou.

Dimakatso said they recruited a pitcher as cover for Eric Semuwanza who was injured during the Motloutse tournament in Selebi-Phikwe last month. Semuwanza fractured his leg while turning out as guest player for Selebi-Phikwe side, Wipers. 'We signed these players to boost our squad, particularly in the pitcher's position. Eric fractured his leg and since we had only two pitchers, we signed Kedisaletse. Eric contributed a lot to the team.

When we recruited, we looked at the players' height and the way they performed during training. We are going to start using them in up coming league games with the aim of defending our title,' he said.

Dimakatso said the executive committee was reinforced with new members and their intention is to build a strong club. Meanwhile Semuwanza will only return to action in October.
