Nico bars players from talking to the media

Kganela said the players are not allowed to give interviews to the media and only members of the executive committee are allowed to talk to the press.

He said the management not the players will be responsible for all statements to the media. Kganela said the intention of the new committee is to create excitement about Nico in the country.

'We have realised that anything that makes a buzz has many people following it,' he said. He urged players to do their best during the 2010-2011 be MOBILE Premier League season. He promised that if the team does well, the management will arrange for the club to play one of the big South African sides in Selebi-Phikwe.

Nico signed 10 new players, Ntungamile Tshoganetso, Trevor Moiseraele, Gaanabeng Obakeng, Motlhatlhobi Mphile, Aupa Baboloki, Bernard Semakwezi, Thulani Moyo, Kefetotse Molapo, Joseph Kaelo, Topo Piet and Mabachi One Thabiso.

The team manager, Lesley Selema advised players to be disciplined and work as a unit because if they are divided, they cannot achieve anything.

'We must win the league this season. We should not fall apart during the season as it has been happening over the years. That must be a thing of the past. We have filled all the departments and it is my belief that we have enough depth,' he said.  Selema urged players to respect each other regardless of their background or how long they have played for Majombolo. BCL representative, Daniel Keitshokile said the mine has been supporting Nico for a long time despite the team's dismal performance. He promised that the sponsorship will continue. He said the team could win the league if the players work as a unit. He said the infusion of new blood is a positive development that will take the team to greater heights.

Nico secretary general, Tlhalefang Bagwasi said the journey to better things has started and for it to bear fruit at the end of the season, all stakeholders must be involved.

He said club officials have a formula to turn around the fortunes of the team that has become a laughing stock in the Premier League in recent years. He noted that Nico has been fortunate to have sponsorship from BCL while some other teams face financial challenges.

The new Nico committee has Mothusi Taolo as vice-chairman, Otto Ntsatsi (vice team manager),  Chakaloba Kgosidialwa (vice secretary general), Moremi Kgakgamatso (treasurer), Molefhe Kibaki (legal advisor) and Shane Keontse (supporters chairperson).
