BMD joins Tonota north race in earnest

Francistown South Member of Parliament (MP), Wynter Mmolotsi, and a key member of the newly formed party, said on Friday that, they would deploy their cadres in the constituency for house-to-house campaigns as well as public rallies.

'It is our earnest hope that BCP wins this constituency. But even if they were to reduce the margin, it will be okay because it will give us an indication of how we will fair in the 2014 general election.

'If the BCP takes the constituency, then we will definitely take power come 2014,' said Mmolotsi. He was hesitant to say how he thought the BCP would acquit itself saying he will be in a position to hazard a guess after a week of campaigning.Vain Mamela of the BCP will direct the campaign.

In the last general election, the late Baledzi Gaolathe polled 5,811 while Dr Habaudi Hubona managed only 3,067. It remains to be seen if this time around, the BCP firebrand can reduce the margin against the youthful BDP representative, Fidelis Molao.
