Senior police officers promoted, redeployed

Assistant commissioners, Maseng Mathiba and Cynthia Setilo have been promoted to the rank of senior assistant commissioner.
It is reported that Mathiba will take over as the managing director of International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) whilst Setilo becomes Divisional Commander North. The Commissioner has also promoted senior superintendents Dipheko Motube and David Rapula to the rank of assistant commissioner.
Motube takes over as the Public Relations Officer whilst Rapula becomes the Botswana Police College deputy director.
The Commissioner has also redeployed assistant Commissioner Boeletswe Gobotswana to take over as head of human resources. Assistant Commissioner Thateng Johwa-Mpundisi becomes the ILEA deputy-managing director.
Assistant commissioner Witness Bosija has been redeployed to police headquarters as the deputy director, departmental management services. The promotions and redeployments take effect from October 1, 2017.
