Letsebe said they want to go back to the people through promoting open communication. He said the new committee under his leadership would push hard to make BOTESSA student focussed as far as their activities are concerned.

“Our key priority areas will include increasing students activities, engaging students in some decision making, sponsorship for the association and upgrading coordinator’s credentials through coaching clinics.

We are going to ensure that talent is nurtured at BOTESSA level,” Letsebe said. He said they are also going to ensure that athletes have smooth transition into the elite leagues.

“We are also going to improve our relationship with other associations like BOPSA and BISA to ensure a smooth transition of athletes into BOTESSA,” he added.

He said they intend to organise a team building leadership workshop where the new committee would be taken through areas of work ethics, conflict management and resolutions and professionalism.

He labelled his committee as a team of professionals who are determined to improve the fortunes of the association by working hard in their respective departments. “We are still to sit down and discuss other targets as an association,” he said. Meanwhile, BOTESSA spokesperson Duncan Segabo said after the AGM affiliates donated food, clothes and a cheque of P10,000 to Bana Ba Letsatsi Rehabilitation Centre in Maun.
