Little known Mfolo appointed BFA CEO

In a press statement, BFA described Mfolo as an vivid administrator, who joins the association on a two-year period on a secondment from the Ministry of Tertiary Education.

“Mr Mfolo Edwin Mfolo is an avid administrator who is a graduate of Masters of Business Administration (MBA). He is widely versed in areas of Management, Marketing, Accounts, Economics, Finance and Company Law,” the BFA statement read. “In addition he holds a BA Honours degree in Psychology and a BA degree in Psychology from the social sciences specialising in industrial psychology where he rear among many others Human Resource Management, Consumer Behaviour, Labour Law, Labour Relations, Career Management and Organisation Behaviour.”

The BFA described Mfolo “as a shrewd administrator, a leader by his own right having worked for government for twenty two (22) years, has vast experience in project management, risk management, monitoring and evaluation and quality assurance.”

“This will resonates well with the management of BFA projects under the tutelage of FIFA and CAF.

He has been involved in the circles of football as an administrator and is credited with a Certificate in Advanced Coaching. He is currently the Chairperson of Club Licencing First Instance Body, a function he is performing with zeal and distinction.”

BFA has faced a high turnover of CEOs, with administrators hardly lasting the full length of their terms. But BFA believes they have finally got their man. “In Mr Mfolo Edwin Mfolo we trust that the football family has found an individual that will bring financially accountability to the association, and will cultivate an excellent rapport with many constituents that are stakeholders in football nationally, regionally and internationally,” the statement reads.
