TAFIC clear air on coach�s papers

Moyo spent the last season playing a behind the scenes role at Mahalapye United Hotspurs, as the club failed to secure the necessary documents for the veteran coach. After Moyo watched TAFIC’s second game from the stands, inside sources at the club claimed the coach was destined for another season behind the scenes as he is without the necessary qualifications. But TAFIC spokesperson, Warrant Kolola was quick to dismiss the reports as unfounded. He said they are expecting the coach and the rest of their foreign players to be available for their visit to BDF X1 next month. “That is absolutely not true (about Moyo’s papers). Of course the coach was not in possession of the original certificates when the club licensing officials needed them. We sent him back home (in Zimbabwe) to collect them and we have submitted them. “We have processed the coach’s resident permit and work permit as well as for all of our foreign players and we are expecting them to be ready by the first week of next month. We are hopeful that they will all feature against BDF 1X.” Meanwhile, TAFIC registered their first Premiership victory after losing their opening game to Rollers. Matjimenyenga came from behind to edge Security Systems 2-1 in a Tuesday night encounter at the Francistown Sports Complex.
Goals from Obakeng Gaanabeng and Kemoreeng Batisani on either half cancelled out Kaone Molefe’s second minute opener. TAFIC’s stand-in coach, Elias Chinyemba said the win is a moral booster and will make them believe they can compete. He said the players were nervy, particularly in the opening minutes of the game. “I think we still carry the nerves that we had in the opening game that is why we conceded too early, but I am happy we recovered well and got all the important three points.”
“It was not a perfect win, we could have easily scored four goals with a number of good chances we created, but we are happy we are creating those chances.
“Rollers did not embarrass us either and we were on top against (Security) Systems. Now we know that these teams are not so special and we can beat them. We will slowly get to our best,” Chinyemba said.
