Speaking during the Sir Seretse Khama Barracks-based mobile office unit launch, Liberty Life managing director Lulu Rasebotsa said the new mobile office unit comes as a beacon of hope to retired veterans and existing BDF members who would like to create a lasting legacy for their loved ones.

“The unveiling of the Liberty Life BDFRMA mobile office is a symbol of our commitment to this partnership and a testament to the intensity of their resolve, as Liberty Life, to serving this community,” she said.

Rasebotsa also assured that Liberty Life would make their service more accessible and more agile, by creating a conducive, go-to environment for the BDF community to create more solutions together.

“We believe that the suite of risk products that we have created for the retired members association, will and already does, add value to their lives and assists in taking their loved ones a significant way on a journey to achieving their dreams,” she said.

Accepting the new mobile office unit, Major General Bakwena Oitsile of the BDFRMA commended Liberty Life for its outstanding contribution to the defence force community.

He applauded Liberty Life for creating solutions such as chin up package, which also cover members of the BDF who go to war, a benefit which he said is not available in many other countries and insurance companies.

In addition he said the Liberty Life mobile office unit was a proactive decision, which will benefit all members of the BDF including their families and retired members.

“I urge other officers still in their service and retired ones to join the association for their own benefit and the benefit of the association,” he said.

BDFRMA was initiated in 2008 by retired soldiers and has established itself around the country with the intention to address the welfare of retired soldiers.
