DStv Delivers More Value To Their Customers

According to MultiChoice Botswana general manager Theo Erasmus, due to the tough economic times, they decided to help their customers by adjusting the price of DStv Access package to make them more affordable.

“We recognise that our customers are living in tough economic times and want to reward them for their ongoing loyalty and support by providing them with the best local and international entertainment,” he said.

Erasmus said that as a customer centric business, they are constantly looking for new ways to deliver more value to their customers.

Recently they made a move to provide La Liga games, lifestyle and kiddies programme to the DStv Family package. In addition, SuperSport launched the WWE live for the first time across sub-Saharan Africa.

“The majority of our input costs are in US dollars and we hope we won’t experience any further currency devaluations or other unexpected increases in costs for the remainder of the year.

We will continue to review pricing from time to time, taking into account the economic conditions of our operations,” he said. On her part, DStv regional director Patricia Van Rooyen, said the substantial price drop across DStv Access package reinforces their commitment to ensuring that their customers receive the best possible access to great entertainment and outstanding value.

In February 2016, they brought two of the world’s best football leagues, the English Premier League (EPL) and La Liga to DStv Compact customers and added seven entertainment channels as well as opened up Box Office and DStv Catch Up.

Two months later, they introduced a “no price increase” a move that they said would provide relief to their customers in the current tough economic conditions. Then in October 2016, they added another eight great entertainment channels to the Compact Plus bouquet, three to Compact and two to Family. In August 2017 DStv brought all the Spanish La Liga games to DStv Family and added three new international channels including BBC Lifestyle, Food Network and Cbeebies.
