WHO Regional Director For Africa Visits Botswana

 

Moeti will meet with the Minister of Health and Wellness, Dorcas Makgato and her team.

She will also pay courtesy calls on the Vice President, Mokgweetsi Masisi and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi.

Moeti and her entourage will visit Sir Ketumile Masire Teaching Hospital, WHO Collaborating Centre for Nursing and Midwifery Development at University of Botswana (UB), Bontleng Clinic and the Baylor Children’s Centre of Excellence.

She will also visit Scottish Livingstone Hospital in Molepolole, where she will tour the Maternity ward and the Youth-Friendly Services Clinic.

Moeti will visit the occupational Health Unit at Boswelakoko Clinic, which focuses on former miners and TB.

She is scheduled to participate in a public lecture on‚ “Transforming Africa’s Health: Leaving No One Behind,” on October 4, 2017 at the UB Conference Centre.

The next day, she will meet with the SADC Executive Secretary, Dr Stergomina Lawrence Tax, and the United Nations Heads of Agencies.
