Business Botswana elects new president

He succeeds Leta Mosienyane, who is standing down after serving in this role for four years. Keebine has been BB’s vice president for the southern region where he also served as transport sector chairperson for four years.

He has over 30 years of business covering commercial aviation, sales, marketing and logistics. Keebine started his business career in 1986 at Air Botswana where he handled numerous managerial positions, amongst others, sales and marketing manager, commercial manager, chief executive officer of Air Botswana subsidiary Southern Links. He also served as chief executive officer of Botswana Couriers.

As president, Keebine’s focus will be on enhancing BB’s visibility and membership drive. On the other hand, BB also elected Odirile Merafhe as vice president with senior management experience and capabilities in business administration, leadership and business development.

His role at BB will be to guide the policy and advocacy agenda to ensure that the regulatory environment makes it easy for people to start and operate businesses.
