Mingo, Vee collaborate in new single

The reformed young man, real name Aminoni Mujokeri, told Showbiz in an interview that the single is part of his upcoming 11-tracked album called Its all about Jesus. The Tshaba tsotsi hit maker highlighted that the reason he took the gospel route was because he has turned to God. “I am born again therefore I want to push positive energy no wonder I can no longer sing about the stuff I used to sing about,” he said. The 26-year-old said the reason he called his single Unconquerable was because God gave him another chance after his music downfall straight after releasing Tshaba tsotsi more than a decade ago.

The Mozezuru artist from Gaborone-West was signed by Black Money Makers stable at the time and immediately rose to prominence. Although he worked with the same studio that raised him to fame in his new single, Mingo said other songs from the album will be recorded at different studios. Being reunited with Vee, Mingo said they have a special relationship and they decided to work under their own favourable conditions. “I was out and some people deserted me because of the things I did. But now I am back and pushing my God given talent,” he said. Mingo said he recently performed his new single at Loveworld Festival of Music & Arts (LFMA) in Johannesburg, South Africa. He said after his outstanding performance he now stands a chance to perform at the Loveworld International Music Awards (LIMA) in Lagos, Nigeria.

Even though Dr Tawanda alongside Dublin once did the song Unconquerable, the latter returns again on the song but this time around with Vee and Mingo on the vocals. The song is an upbeat song meant for praise and worship but Mingo’s street hardened gravel voice does not fade away much despite the shift to gospel. Even though Unconquerable was made popular by a cheerful man dancing to it at church in a YouTube video, Mingo also brings positive energy to the song. As an energetic performer on stage, he has redefined gospel and also carved his own route.
