Kgathi (23) of Broadhurst is charged alongside Tumisang Tlhaelang (24), Kgosietsile Dihutso (25), both Phakalane residents and Alphious Raditladi (25) of Block 5.

They face a single count of unlawful possession of the substance believed to be habit-forming cocaine. Details of the case are that at least 41 packages of cocaine were confiscated during their arrest on October 12, 2016 at a police roadblock in Pitsane.

The accused were arrested on transit from South Africa where the substance was allegedly purchased.

Eleven packages were in the form of blocks, which were sealed inside a biscuit container, whilst 30 were inside a snack container.

In the previous mention, the case was held inside the court chambers without public access because a court reporter was reportedly absent. The state intends to call over five witnesses.

The four, represented by Kgosietsile Ngakaagae, are all out on bail. State attorney, Mogomotsi Kelebang of Directorate of Public Prosecutions is prosecuting.
