The man whose sermons, books, music, plays, movies, conferences and festivals have inspired many people touched on every aspect of life and the audience was listening attentively as words of wisdom gushed out of his mouth.

The moment he shouted ‘ooh yeah’ the crowd rattled in applaud. “One thing I have realised is that,” he said as he began to motivate the crowd with his life lessons and experience. Pastor BF Ramogapi of Royal Assembly Ministries started the inspirational session by interviewing TD Jakes and the two highlighted a good relationship that started many years ago.

The show was almost ruined by technological faults but as soon as everything was back in control, TD Jakes said when trouble comes it defines an individual. “We measure your strength on how you respond to crisis, if you quit then you can never be what you were meant to be,” he said. He encouraged the audience to have faith because God gave them the power to survive, think and become creative.

He said everything comes out of someone’s thought. TD Jakes said they could not have hosted the show at UB if the architect and contractor had not shared their thoughts. “Your strength is your mind, think beyond the perimeter of what is ok and average. The more creative the tools the more the investment,” he said.

TD Jakes also encouraged his audience to become assets rather than liabilities. He further encouraged them to surround themselves with people who can add different value to their lives. “If you surround yourself with people who do what you do they will end up competing with you. But if you surround yourself with people who are good at what you are not good at, they will complete you,” he highlighted.

TD Jakes said he did not achieve everything on his own. “Collectively we can achieve. God did not create anyone to be alone or independent; no society survives in isolation,” he said. He encouraged the crowd to find people who would add value in their lives. He also spoke about the uniqueness of women; how they should not limit themselves to their gender. He encouraged men to stand by their women no matter what.

“A blessed man is not intimidated by smart women, it’s not good for a man to be alone,” he said. TD Jakes said there is a time and season for everything. Besides the word of wisdom from the man of God there was a performance from Royal Assembly Ministries choir and Vee Mampeezy joined them on stage for a brief dance.
