The new comers have so far registered four points from two games after playing to a 0-0 draw with Modipane United in their first game.

However, it was Fighters who had the better scoring chance in the first half when Bernard Kebotseng forced his way into the Broadhurst United area but lost balance and stumbled. But the attacker managed to take a shot, which hit the upright much to the relief of Broadhurst United defence that was caught napping.

Broadhurst United then took the lead when Fighters goalkeeper, Botlhe Moralo failed to handle a high ball. Mmoloki Kenamile found himself at the right place at the right time and tapped into make it 1-0 in favour of Broadhurst United. The goal separated the two sides at half time.

In the second half, Broadhurst continued to push numbers forward and were nearly rewarded when Kenamile beat the goalkeeper but failed to take responsibility. He decided to pass the ball which was intercepted by the Fighters defence and the danger was cleared.

Both sides made substitutions in the second half but the one that paid off was that of Broadhurst United when they introduced Thatayaone Ndlovu in place of Kenamile. Ndlovu did not waste time and was released within five minutes of his introduction, warded off a defender and calmly chipped the ball over Fighters goalkeeper, Moralo to seal the win.
