Yaw Bannerman launches new album

“It is a 14-track project featuring Veezo, Official Tshego, Gemini Major and DXD. This is an Afrobeat album and my first piece of work as an artist,” he told Showbiz. Yam Bannerman, real name Kutlwano Maidi, also pointed out that he had been in the music industry for over a year now. The young artist said he is also a producer and had been working of his album for almost three years.

He said he was the executive producer of his own album. He said BITFIR was mainly produced in South Africa for over three years. However, the young artist said a potion of the album was produced in Botswana. The album has tracks such as Blue Beyond (intro), Effect and, She Knows featuring Kene Baby, Imagine That (No More Burden Days), Believe in Me featuring DXD, Rich and Famous featuring Verso, Interlude (Oh Nah), Cake Up, Looking for My Baby, Huh Toto, Through The Night featuring Veezo and Gemini Major, Free At Last featuring Verso, A Little While featuring Tshego and Baby Be Strong.

“The objective of this album is to give my support to my fans and the public in general and an opportunity to sample my album in the most authentic way. The pre-launch will be a live show and I will be performing alongside Verso, ManeDilla and other local artists,” he noted.

On the decks will be KRM, Dee Bond, Poet The DJ and Jozi Straight who will keep the audience entertained throughout the night.  The pre-launch will be held at My Kind Of Place (MKOP) in Riverwalk Mall and will start at 8pm till late. Ladies will be allowed free entry before 11pm and the entrance fee is P100 at the door.  There will also be a free VIP section for purchasing of a premium bottle and a free bottle for best dressed individual.
