In the aggressive game, Lesego Ramoraka sustained facial bruises after a dangerous tackle from Tshepo Maikano. The Orapa side walked away with three points courtesy of Tapiwa Nyamanjiva’s 21st minute goal. The match saw four yellow cards, and a red card to Ronald Chikomo, dished.

The visibly disappointed Zimbabwean born coach labelled the game as ‘rubbish’. Ndlovu said he was not happy with the officiating since his players were ‘butchered’ but the referee failed to take relevant action on those ‘who had launched a war’.

Chikomo became the spotlight of the game after he was sent off in the 68th minute after picking two yellow cards. The key striker will miss the Ostriches next fixture. He was dismissed after trying to distract goalkeeper, Goitseone Phoko. Ndlovu said it ‘was good to know that Chikomo is always vulnerable to the referees’. “The game was completely rubbish, what would you pick from the game besides that there was a goal? My player was butchered and the opponent went away with a yellow card. That in itself took the steam from the game. I am still in shock as to how some decisions were reached by the referees.

“Honestly, I didn’t know that Chikomo is always on the referees watch. He is our player, that’s why we use him in every game. If we knew he was always on the referees’ radar, he could have not played or may be we could have substituted him well in time.

A player has 90 minutes to play, whether they are on yellow card or not. Yellow card is part of the game. We don’t know if he is vulnerable. He is doing his duty, he has to score. If the referee issues a red card, who are we to say no?,” he quizzed.
