Young Motswana Attends Geneva Shapers Meeting

Over 400 global shapers around the world will meet in Geneva, Switzerland for the 2017 annual curators meeting (ACM) from September 8 to 11, 2017.

Along with senior representatives of international organisations, the ACM will focus on empowering widespread innovation and enabling collaborative action among young leaders who make up 50% of the world’s population but are under-represented in global affairs.

Annual Curators Meeting is intended to deepen Global Shapers capacity to serve the mission of their communities under the theme ‘The Time is Now: the world needs Global Shapers now more than ever’.

Curators will also engage in skills-based learning with peers and global experts, showcase project impacts in their hubs and gain core competencies as well as gain practical tips to take back to their respective hubs and countries.

The Global Shapers Community is a worldwide network of hubs developed and led by promising young leaders who want to build on their achievements and entrepreneurial drive to make a positive contribution to their communities.

Nominated under the age of 30, Shapers form a multi-stakeholder community and come from a variety of backgrounds including business, government, civil society, journalism, social entrepreneurialism, arts and culture.

The Global Shapers Community is an initiative of the World Economic Forum and is independent, neutral, non-political and not for profit.
