Galenamotlhale received a red card on Tuesday when his side lost 3-1 to visiting Miscellaneous at the New Lobatse Stadium.

The absence of the enterprising midfielder, who has shown early signs of good form, will be a major blow as Chiefs attempt to have their presence felt this season. The team last season had their worst season in many years as their boardroom wrangles eventually affected the club’s performance.

They however managed to finish inside the top eight bracket.

They have since registered quite a good number of quality players and appeared to be on track in the first three matches.

However despite taking a lead against Miscellaneous on Tuesday, they conceded three times afterwards with Galenamotlhale receiving his marching orders in the process.

He will first miss this weekend’s clash against Black Forest at the National Stadium before he serves his last match suspension the following weekend against rivals, Rollers.

He will make his return against BDF XI on October 31. In the match against Extension Gunners this past weekend, Galenamotlhale was a marvel to watch although he still felt his fitness was not up to his desired level. It will be interesting to see how Chiefs will shuffle their midfield in his absence. New signing, Thato Ogopotse has fitted in well in front of the defence. Nelson Moreetsi is expected to fill in the void left by the captain.

Before yesterday evening’s matches, Chiefs had dropped to position seven from five. Miscellaneous’ victory moved them up to position three before yesterday evening’s matches. Rollers maintained their 100% record with a 3-2 win over BDF XI.

Star player, Joel Mogorosi who has been converted to striking role also maintained his 100% strike rate.

He has now scored four goals in four matches.

TAFIC shared spoils with Police XI in Francistown.
