After years of exhibiting her musical talent, performing cover tracks and a few of her own songs Sebina is finally giving her audience her full musical effort.

She burst into the music scene performing cover songs from different artists and she was later dubbed the queen of covers.

“It’s basically my first offering to my audience and story of where I am as a musician.  It carries material that I have been producing for the past five years.  In short it’s a collection of where I am,” the Love Lights musician said.

She worked with Golden Child production duo, Favi and Gram Pressure who worked on not only the production but also the sound technicalities. The EP only features ATI on one song. “I am excited to be finally sharing my music with the world.  It took me this long to release this project because we were working on different elements such as management issues, I am now signed to South African based Eclipse Management. Also the hard drive that had my music got stolen last year so we had to re-record the whole project,” Sebina said.

Describing the musical content on the EP Sebina said it has neosoul and a mellow touch fused with African elements like her debut single Love Lights that was fused with some soul and Borankana sounds. The EP will be released and sold both on the digital platform and physical CDs. Sebina said this is a build up to her debut music album hoping that the EP will do well.

Over the years Sebina has managed to build an audience by performing at mostly cooperate events, where she has been performing famous covers from artists such as Brenda Fassie, Lebo Mathosa and Erykah Badu. She is also behind the monthly event Naked Soul Sessions, which gives artists an opportunity to headline their own shows.
