The company, according to the SPEDU’s public relations and marketing manager Sheila Moribame, will start setting up in October this year and will take a year to complete. She said the company is already setting up at the airport and the signing ceremony, expected to take place on Tuesday, will seal participation and coordination of all parties involved.

She said this is a huge milestone in the speedy recovery of the regional economy looking at the creation of 3,000-4,000 employment opportunities in Selebi-Phikwe.

Its management has also initiated multiple partnerships with key industry actors in all of its target markets and these form the basis of the company’s worldwide distribution network.

Meanwhile The Monitor has established that SPEDU is currently involved in 13 projects that are expected to inject an investment of around P277 million, of which P17.5 million will be financed through Citizen Entrepreneurial Deveopment Agency and other funding agencies, while the rest is own investment. Three of these companies have been offered BDC factory shells.
