Mascom provides P106,000 for F/town jubilee match

The match takes place on Saturday at the Francistown Sports Complex at 3pm. Mascom’s chief public relations and communication officer, Tebogo Lebotse-Sebego said they were concerned about not having a signature event here as they do in other places such as Maun and Gaborone. She said sport plays a critical role in keeping their organisation in touch with their customers.
“We are keen on having a Mascom activity in all the major places across the country and we don’t have that in Francistown. We are happy to be part of these celebrations,” she said.
The celebrations’ Local Organising Committee chairperson, Kebaabetswe Bogatsu said they are privileged to have Mascom on board. “We are proud that Mascom has agreed to support us and we will be partners in this match.”
Highlanders chairperson, Modern Ngwenya said they are honoured to be invited. He said they will bring their best side for the match. “We will be lenient with TAFIC, we won’t beat them by a greater margin but at the same time we are the ambassadors of our country and we must protect our stature. We promise to give everyone value for their money,” Ngwenya said.
TAFIC communications and marketing manager, Rapula Gaotlhobogwe promised they will not be pushovers. He said they are prepared to battle in their backyard.
He said new signings who have not been able to take part due to their work permit complications will be available for the encounter.
“We consider ourselves as the hope of the city and we will do our best. We are going to unleash our new signings in this game,” he said. “We encourage our supporters to come in numbers. It will be a good rehearsal for what we have in store this season.” Entrance for the encounter is free of charge.
