The skin care production company dubbed Nokware, comes with different products such as the original black soap for different types of skins, activated charcoal black soap for oily skin and neem oil black soap for blemished acne prone skin.

The products are extracted from different trees such as baobab, coconut and neem.

As part of the products there is also the body sponges and exfoliating body loofahs for bathing, all these are extracted from plants. Nokware is working on introducing oil related products.

With the products being sold on the Nokware online shop, a number of individuals have expressed interest in them.

The idea to start such an establishment started when the duo was based in France where they were studying. They experienced skin problems and tried out all skin products pharmacies could offer but there was no difference on their skin.

“There was no improvement on our skin condition then one day Tituwa called her mom in Ghana to tell her about our problem. She then sent soap extracted from the alatasanina tree, which is the black soap. We used it for a while and saw some improvements on our skin. The next thing our skin condition was back to normal,” said 25-year-old Tau.

With the excitement of seeing the soap work, the two decided to establish a business that produces 100% skin organic care products. This meant that they had to work closely with farmers in Ghana that have different plants that produce the different soaps and sponges.

Tau, being a luxury management student and Ahwoi being a an international business management student, they decided to fuse their skills to establish and sell skin care products in a market that has established brands that are distributing products world wide.

“Since we established the online shop this past September we have been receiving customers from different countries.

Tituwa is pushing the business back in Ghana while I am doing the same this side,” she explained.

Since Ahwoi is based in Ghana she couriers the products to her partner based in Botswana.   With a few months in the business, she stated that they are planning on introducing the coconut oils as part of their products while some retail outlets have shown interest in having their products on the shelves.

Since these are 100% organic products, the packaging has some organic touch. The soaps are packaged in a calabash of a dired gourd plant, which is also recyclable while the calabash covers are made from natural jute fibres.

The soaps are also packaged in brown papers from unbleached wood pulp.
