Burna Boy will also be debuting his performance in the country just like his homeboy, Wiz Kid.

“We had to add Burna Boy in the line-up because we wanted to upgrade the concert to make it more appealing. With him in the line-up, it is a serious jump and the standard of the event has improved,” said the event main coordinator Bruce Nkgakile.

Burna Boy rose to fame with his timeless collaborations with South African rappers such as AKA, Les and his own hits such as Soke that has been a favourite amongst many urbanites.

“Prior to their performance, Burna Boy and Wiz Kid will facilitate an artists workshop that will see them talking to local artists on how they can improve the music industry and make it more appealing such as the one in Nigeria.

Their managers will also address the workshop,” said Nkgakile.

He also hinted that one of the two Nigerian artists will collaborate with one local artist but as the event organisers they are working on finding a sponsor and funds to pay one of the two Nigerian artists for the collaboration.

Wiz Kid recently confirmed his performance in the country through a video that was posted on Facebook. “Waddup waddup people. This is star boy Wiz Kid. What’s good? On the 2nd of December I will be in Botswana.

I can’t wait to turn and have fun with you (sic),” Wiz Kid said.

Meanwhile the event promoters have also announced that South African Afro pop music legend, Ringo Madlingozi has also been booked to perform at the event alongside other South African artists such as Sjava and Freshly Ground.
