The album dubbed, Bo Ra Setori is ready for release after Jojo spent some time in the studio working on the project.

“The album is now ready to be released; we have not yet finalised on the dates of the release. It will only be released after the President Ian Khama blesses it through purchasing a copy for P2,500.

We submitted a letter to his office and we are waiting for the response, upon the purchasing of the album by the President we can now work on releasing the album,” said Gilbert Seagile who is the project manager.

He noted that the decision to have the President be the first person to purchase the album was raised by his passionate love and support for the arts that he has expressed over the years which even led him to receive an AFRIMMA Leadership Award.

On the 10-track album, the musicians worked with different producers such as Dr Tawanda, Suffocate and Bullet Ketshabile who is the main producer.

Despite the hype of Jojo releasing her sophomore album, Seagile stated that their main focus at the moment is working on having the album go platinum, which means that 100,000 copies of the album have to be sold.

“The album has some great energy. We are pretty sure it will be a success just like her first album Mpatiseng, which she released two years ago. A number of individuals and cooperates have also expressed interest in purchasing the album. Some cooperates want to purchase it in bulk for their clients.”

Seagile noted that the moment the album goes platinum it will not only be an achievement to Jojo but it will also be a great investment for her because her music will be in many people’s ears.

“Going platinum is a great investment. We got to know musicians such as Brenda Fassie because her music was selling and it reached our ears while we stayed outside South Africa. The strategy is to distribute the album in different countries and also have Jojo perform in those countries.”
