The Mmokolodi singer, who won two BOMU awards, dedicated her second award to her boyfriend whom she regarded as her husband. The Sekuta singer went on to tell the audience that she was not sure if she was the house chick or side chick.

Charma gal and her rich boyfriend are alleged to have been dating when she was still married to Culture Spears lead singer Kabelo Mogwe. She moved in with Matenge before her divorce. The couple has a son, who was born last year, a few months after she divorced Mogwe.

Charma gal was amongst the musicians who made the BOMU awards colourful with her beautiful performance.

Furthermore, Slizer treated the audience with a beautiful performance where she dished out a song from her latest album Ga Ke Na Molato. Her song Ka Bonya Ka Bonya seemed to have won the kwaito kwasa star a lot of audience.

Amongst the beautiful performance of the night was ATI who scooped six awards. His song Khiring Khiring Khorong Khorong blew the auditorium away, as the audience stood on their feet as they danced the night away.

Obakeng Sengwaketse, who scooped the Best Traditional Gospel music award, opened the event with an energetic performance.

Jojo, Ounah and other artists also did their best to keep the audience mesmerised.

Furthermore, when the event started, there was a tribute to the late local artists and music promoters such as Bull Dog, Soares Katumbela, Donald Botshelo, Steez and others.
