BTC invests P60m to enhance internet speed

BTC head of network build, Gabalemogwe Rankgate says the company will invest over P60 million to improve its internet service quality.

The project, which kick started in Phakalane and is being rolled out to other parts of the country, will enhance BTC’s asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) service offering to improve reliability and speed.

Rankgate says the technology will enable faster data transmission allowing customers to download and surf the internet in the comfort of their homes and transmit data at their businesses at high reliable speeds.

BTC public relations manager, Golekanye Molapisi said the project is part of a broadband growth road map to guarantee network satisfaction and ensure that customers have fast quality service.

He said the corporation, which recently introduced 4G/LTE connectivity to improve mobile voice call quality and internet speed, also revamped its Maun store and relocated from KB Mall to Rail Park Mall in Gaborone, as part of its retail transformation project to better serve and enhance its customer’s experience.

The projects, spearheaded by BTC managing director Anthony Masunga, are part of BTC’s strategy and commitment to improve service delivery, enhance performance and streamline its processes for the benefit of the customer.

BTC aims to provide better customer experience and offer innovative product and service offerings that enable users to live connected.
