After years of fighting for control and the matter reaching the courts, the two groups recently reached common ground. A transitional committee was formed, which consisted of members from each group.  The committee recently called a special general meeting, which amongst other items included the elections for a new executive committee.  Ahead of the meeting, some members of the club led by Ramocha Tsieng had requested the elections to be postponed. Their main reason being that some sections of the court order amongst them the financial audit had not been complied with.

They also wrote a letter saying they have withdrawn some members in their camp from the transitional committee.

Amongst those members was chairperson of the transitional committee, Christopher Molomo. The meeting went ahead and a new executive committee was ushered in. At the meeting, Molomo was voted in as the new club president while Ernest Molome returned as the chairperson.

However, reports are that the club is heading for another legal battle with the disgruntled members saying reconciliation efforts have failed.  The spokesperson for the members, Godfrey Lekgabe has confirmed they are heading back to court.

“We have instructed our lawyers to file the matter at the court because reconciliation efforts have failed. As far as we are concerned, even the transitional committee has long collapsed because we withdrew our members from that committee,” Lekgabe said yesterday.

He said there was no way they were going to agree with the elective meeting when some sections of the court order were not dealt with. He said elections should only be held when all other matters have been dealt with. “We are back at zero because reconciliation efforts have failed. Nothing has materialised, hence our decision to go back to court,” Lekgabe told Mmegi Sport.

Newly elected club manager, Clifford Mogomotsi yesterday said they will wait for any eventuality if there is anything to be addressed. He said they have not been filed as yet, but added that as far as they are concerned, the disgruntled members do not have a case.
