Tlatsa Maun this weekend

The event, which was supposed to be held last month, was postponed after the event organisers failed to secure and book some artists on time. A local line-up, which will headline the event, was put up early this week by the organisers.
“Everything is coming up well and we are working on sorting out a few logistics such as payments and accommodation. The only challenge we have at the moment is that this is a self-funded event, we did not make enough funds from the Francistown event due to a low turnout, the money we are using is the one we accumulated from the first event in Gaborone,” Kast said.
Maun is the place where Kast started his walk to Gaborone in a bid to raise funds for the first Tlatsa Lebala event. He stated that if it was not for Maun, they would have cancelled the event but he had to honor Maun for assisting him in launching his famous walk.
After experiencing a low turnout during the Tlatsa Ghetto in Francistown a few months back, Kast said he is confident that revellers will attend in large numbers.
“After the event in Maun we will immediately announce the campaign for Tlatsa Lebala 2018, which will take place around the same time of the year like this year. This is an annual event that will be taking place every year.”
This time around the event is dominated by urban music acts such as Scar, La Timmy, Kast, HT, Tautona, Chef Gustos, DJ Guyvos and Sly. “We booked artists according to how relevant they are and if we are able to afford them in terms of bookings.”
Tickets for the event are already on sale at different outlets in Maun.
