“We gave him a one year deal. We performed well in that period.

We did not renew his contract because we felt that he played his role and someone else needs to come in. There is nothing more to that,” Ditiro said. Raizor guided Magoleng to a ninth spot in their maiden season in the elite league, missing a top eight spot by just a point. He managed to lead Forest to the longest unbeaten run of last season, after his side drew 15 games.

Raizor is the latest of the high profile departures at the club following marksmen, Lynoth Chikuwa and Thatayaone Kgamanyane who scored 17 goals between them, making them one of the deadliest striking partnerships in the league.

The team has also parted ways with goalkeeper, Michael James who was impressive between the posts in the last campaign, catching the eyes of national selectors in the process.  However, Ditiro remains confident in his side despite the departures and revealed that they are already in talks with a number of coaches. “We are in talks with a few people.

I will not reveal names at the moment as some are still contracted to their clubs. Our philosophy is that a coach should be ready to work. What we do not want is a coach who tries to build his own team because coaches come and go.

I believe our next coach will have enough time to prepare for the next season,” he said.  Ditiro further said the club would unveil the new signings before the league starts.

“We have a robust development programme. We built this team looking at the pool of players we have at our youth level. We will find replacement for the players who left and we would unveil our new signings next week,” he said.
