It has been a long time coming, especially after a fanmade video showing West African children dancing to the song was uploaded on YouTube, garnering more than 1,000 views.

The lyrically controversial single was widely pirated before its official launch, but this time around Charma Gal told Showbiz that the video of the song would be released to the public early next month. “We are wrapping up the preproduction this week,” she said.

The Sekuta hitmaker said she is working with Jack Botlhoko on the video.

“I have seen his work in various hip hop videos and I liked it.  I want to explore (the work opportunity) and if I am satisfied with his work, we will work together in the future,” she highlighted.

The former Culture Spears member further told Showbiz that she would shoot just the video for Ke Ya Mokolodi for now and other videos might follow suit as a festive package later this year.

She also said she has worked with various dancers in the video.

“So many people wanted to work with me in this video and I was glad to bring them on board,” she said. Charma Gal said that the video would emphasise the concept put across by the song’s lyrics.
