BDF Warns Of Fake Vacancy Advert

The BDF director of protocol and public affairs, Fikani Machola has warned the public about the advert. Machola explained that the BDF has in the past weeks been inundated with applications for posts of tracker recruit privates emanating from an advertisement that is currently circulating on social media referenced TRK/PVT- RECRUIT VACANCY 1/17.

“The BDF wishes to inform the public that the advert, which has gone viral on social media inviting Batswana JC holders to apply for the above was not posted by the BDF and should as such be disregarded,” reads Machola’ s press release.

The press release stated that the BDF regrets the inconvenience that might have been caused by this development especially to those who took time to respond to the advert.

The public is advised that all authentic and credible official correspondence and or communiqué from the BDF is and will only be posted on the government Facebook page (BWgovernment).

Asked about the number of applications they have received so far, Machola could not provide The Monitor with the exact numbers, stating that they have been receiving applications for a while now. “Even as we speak, applications are coming in at high numbers hence cannot at this point and time tell you the exact number, but they are many.

The rate at which we have been receiving the applications forced us to issue out the press release. Members of the public should know that the BDF has not advertised any tracker recruit privates vacancy advertisement,” Machola said.
