BIHL Trust Donates House In Mabule

Minister of Presidential affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Eric Molale officiated at the event. The house, valued at P150,000, has been fully furnished to accommodate the Bareki family who the BIHL Trust identified through the local social worker’s office. The latest Mabule house took statistics of houses built under the Presidential Housing Appeal to 743, with a target of 1,000 expected to be reached at the end of the year, or early next year. At the event, the Goodhope Sub District Council leadership said they will enroll the house under their maintenance programme until one of the beneficiaries reaches a stage where they could be able to maintain the house and sustain the lives of family members.

Speaking at the event, BIHL Trust chairman, Major General Bakwena Oitsile said their intentions are to play a role in changing lives of Batswana. He said the project was not the only one in Borolong and further urged the beneficiaries to take proper care of the house.

“As BIHL Trust, we continue to play a role of changing lives of people in the communities through a noble gesture of giving back to the community. This is not the only project we have undertaken in Borolong, “ Oitsile said.

Molale said institutions such as BIHL Trust should be complimented for their continued efforts in making a difference in the lives of ordinary Batswana. He further said six more houses are expected to be handed over in Borolong.

“Under the Presidential Housing Appeal we encourage those with the capability to help improve lives of those who are unfortunate by donating a house. BIHL Trust has responded positively and that cannot go unnoticed,” Molale said.

Apart from long-term house maintenance, the Goodhope Sub District Council have also vowed to support the family by all means until one of the children is old enough to fend for the family.
